JSC “Ukrzaliznytsia” has completed overhaul with extension of the service life of 7 passenger cars.

All repair works were performed at the company’s own production facilities in Bakhmach and Kakhovka.

It is noted that from next week they will replenish the composition of the passenger train Intercity №738 / 737, which runs on the route Kiev – Zaporozhye.

“Transformer cars are equipped with modern video surveillance systems, air conditioning, temperature control separately in each compartment, a button to call the conductor and a toilet occupancy indicator, as well as information monitors inside the compartment, which show temperature, train speed, date, time and more,” – said. in the message of UZ.

Each compartment also has two sockets with USB ports. In addition, the toilets have vacuum toilets and an updated water supply system.

The repair period for each such car was about 3 months, and the cost of the work was almost UAH 16 million (which is almost twice as cheap as buying a new car, Ukrzaliznytsia emphasizes).

In the next few months, the company plans to repair another 24 passenger cars, and in 2021 – a total of 50 cars to be overhauled.

We will remind, on July 9 UZ presented the first inclusive electric train which modernization is executed at the Kiev electric car repair plant.
