Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban said that Ukraine lost the war against Russia.

Orban, who became the only European Union leader not to support a joint statement that Ukraine should decide its own future, said that Russia had “won” the war in Ukraine.
“We are now saying that this is a war with an uncertain outcome, but it is not. The Ukrainians lost the war. Russia won this war,” he claims.
He believes that the only question is “when and under what circumstances will the West, which supports the Ukrainians, recognize that this happened, and what will be the result of all this.”
He also stated that Europe lost the opportunity to negotiate with Putin under the administration of former US President Joe Biden and now risks having its future decided without its participation.
“If you’re not at the negotiating table, you’re on the menu,” Orban said, adding that he was partly against the EU’s joint statement on Ukraine because it made Europe “ridiculous and pathetic.”
