Ukrainian specialists have joined the training of American law enforcement officers in the use of drones in the fight against drug cartels. The joint training was held in Texas with the participation of representatives of the US Drug Enforcement Administration and international partners.
This was announced by the INL unit, which advises the US leadership on combating international crime. The message states that there was a “joint exchange with the DEA and Ukrainian experts to create and test drones, as well as share rapidly developing tactics.”
It was also emphasized that such cooperation helps American law enforcement agencies stay ahead of the use of drones by criminal groups.
New approaches to collaboration
It’s not just about the technical part, but also about the experience that Ukraine gained during the war . Ukrainian specialists are actually sharing the developments that emerged at the front. And this seems to be becoming a valuable resource for other countries.
The American side, in turn, gets access to practical solutions that have already been tested in real conditions. Perhaps that is why the emphasis was placed not only on the creation of drones, but also on the tactics of their use. This looks like an attempt to quickly adapt to new threats that arise literally every day.
Exercise details
The training was organized in Texas, where a joint exchange between INL, DEA headquarters, and Ukrainian experts took place. Participants built and tested drones, as well as practiced scenarios for their use against criminal groups.

The main goal is to strengthen the capabilities of US law enforcement agencies to counter drones used by drug cartels and other criminal organizations in the region. This is about protecting US territory and citizens from new types of threats.
The statement emphasized that such a partnership allows “to stay one step ahead” in the fight against the use of drones by criminals. And, it seems, this is just one of the areas of broader cooperation.
