EU has no effective army, and is helpless without US. As Josep Borrell said, EU has βbonsai armiesβ. And polls show that most of the young people are going to run away if Russia comes. But EU is rich.
At the same time, Ukraine has a powerful and battlefield-proven army, but lacks equipment, ammunition, and everything that requires financing.
See how puzzle fits? If USA leaves, Ukraine becomes the only real force holding Russia, and EU becomes the only economy able to sustain Ukraine. Itβs a real win-win deal. Not that we Ukrainians are happy with the role of the military wing of Europe, Iβd gladly be in a position of the one who pays, not the one who risks life fighting. But fate itself is giving us no other choice. And we can teach your soldiers. Not by books, but by real life skills.
And if you think itβs too expensive (about 15 EUR per person monthly so far), let me show you the alternative. Ukraine gets no help, Russia commits genocide and kills anyone who does not agree to become Russian, and brainwashes kids, and you will see Ukrainians in Russian uniforms coming to you. You wonβt even distinguish them from genuine Russians. And they will take the money themselves, with all you have. Not 15 EUR, not even 15K EUR.
Yes, by that time, you may grow up and build the army, and even win Russia and Ukraine combined. But it may cost you millions of lives. Those who have small sons, are you ready to lose them in the future war? I do not even want to describe the fate of your daughters, you may just check what Soviet soldiers are doing in WW2. Think about it. Itβs not a movie, itβs real life. And it is close to you.
So letβs beat Russia together and not make it happen.

Some say βUkraine had chance of peaceβ. Let me explain this βpeaceβ from my personal perspective, to avoid high-level strategical stuff and ideological narrative, just bring it down to the ground.
So, I am a Ukrainian middle-class, a small business owner. Iβve been living all 3 years of war in Ukraine, and I felt all sort of emotions. Was sleeping in basement, living in an old house without running water and heating, was ready to lose my social status, money, business, and property.
I was lucky, did not happen to be in the place where Russians came. But Iβve seen the horrors they brought. The picture of executed family with children and bodies of people with tied hands on the streets of Bucha are imprinted into my mind till the end of my life. The horrors that I have seen wonβt be forgotten.
My children are not sleeping in their beds. We move mattresses near the door because we know every night Russians launch suicide drones, so itβs a lottery of death that we are playing ourselves but try to put our children out of it. I have not been to vacations for over 3 years. And I do afraid to end up in the trenches myself. I am tired of having no normal life.
So why donβt I want my president to sign the peace offered? Because it may even make things worse in a couple of years. With no guarantees, whatβs the point for me? To sell everything and run away until Russia attacks again? No, I do not want it, I want to live here, and not end up hearing unpleasant comments about me as an immigrant somewhere. I do not want to go anywhere.
Staying in occupation and living under Russian flag? Do you have idea what it means? First, they will kill the politicians. Then, they will come to houses at night and eliminate those who was fighting them, after that they will kill all artists, poets etc. I doubt deleting this LinkedIn account will save me if they take over, they must have me in the lists. I may end up like my great-grandfather (executed in 1938). And you wonβt see it through your pink glasses, like you did not see millions killed in 1930ties. Formally, it will be βpeaceβ. Again, if you think that mass killing is not possible now, google photos from Bucha. How many of you think of Uigurs who are “peacifully” living in concentration camps in China?
Also, even if I survive and adapt by pretending I am loyal, I may come in Russian uniform to you. That will be a shell of me, a zombie led by fear and despair. But next generation will be brainwashed enough to be genuinely loyal to Russia in further conquests.
So, as you can see, mr. Trump is not offering me anything tempting. So why should I be glad to have this βpeaceβ?

Are you sure the terms were so bad? It seems the minerals deal simply created space then to figure out what to do next? It was part of the process of getting a skeptical American audience to believe in Ukraine. Am I wrong about this?
Reply from Volodymyr:
Joseph Lindsley : Vance and Trump did not want minerals. They demanded “end war” from Zelensky. Zelensky asked about guarantees, first Trump said “I am guarantee!” (???) and they freaked out like 5-year-olds that did not get the toy they wanted. Now they are cutting help and giving Putin the advantage because he did not agree to Putin’s terms.
By the way, Trump signed a minerals deal with Afghanistan. See how it ended? No thanks. We do not want it.

Trump says he understands why russia is bombing Ukraine. He says Putin does βwhat anybody else would doβ in Ukraine.
How did people elect him?!

Journalist: You said that russia is pounding Ukraine. Why not provide Ukraine with air defense systems?
Trump: I have to know that they want to settle. If they donβt want to settle then we are out.
Summary of Trumpβs response: Either Ukraine capitulates or we will let russia destroy Ukraine completely.
You, Mr. President, enabled russia!
Trump announces plans for βSweeping banking sanctions against russiaβ because βRussia is absolutely pounding Ukraine on the battlefield right now.β
Mr. President, βrussia is pounding Ukraineβ right now because of your incompetence. First, you cut off arms supplies. Then you took away vital intelligence from Ukrainian military. And now you are complaining that russia is pounding.
Do you really think that Putin is afraid of your βsweeping banking sanctionsβ? You are weak, Mr. President, and Putin knows it.
As a real Republican once said: “There’s nothing that provokes Vladimir Putin more than weakness.” You, Mr. President, provoked russia by your weakness.

American government is cutting Ukraineβs access to satellite imagery, sabotaging Ukrainian military.
According to Militarnyi, Maxar Technologies has restricted Ukraineβs access to its satellite images. The company stated that the access was revoked due to an βadministrative request.β
Reports indicate that the Trumpβs administration has prohibited American companies and commercial services from providing satellite data to Ukraine.
Earlier this week, the U.S. suspended arms deliveries and intelligence sharing with Ukraine.
Reports from Ukraine indicate that these actions are already having an impact on the front line, on the use of long-range systems, and on defenses against russian missiles.
To put it simply, these steps are costing Ukrainian lives. We will have to bear the weight of history and the betrayal of Ukraine.

Ukraine needs the lifting of bans on western supplied weapons and steady arms supplies from allies.
The Biden admin was giving us barely enough to hold the line and not enough to make any progress. Now Trump is trying to take even that away. America has provided us a lot of aid but has also heavily dictated how we are allowed to use it.
To put it in perspective, in WWII Russia lost 1 million soldiers just to retake Stalingrad. One city. They don’t care about losing their people at all. What they do care about and what will stop the war is if we had the ability to hit them in their wallet like we have been by destroying their oil and gas refineries. Which can only be done with long-range weapon systems.
Even if we did get a ceasefire they would just come back in 5-10 years and do this all over again.
I am sick and tired of burying my friends and listening to the politicians lies and delusions about what’s happening here.
Trump said no American has died fighting in Ukraine. I know plenty. Two of which died in MY hands. I urge you to see through the mass disinformation campaigns that Russia is waging against the US.
Call your representatives, protest, have your voice be heard.

I cannot even imagine the pain this woman has endured. Olesiaβs entire family was killed by russians, and she joined the army to fight them.
Olesia was a surgeon, a wife, and a mother of two. Her parents lived in Mariupol.
When the full-scale war began in 2022, Olesia’s parents helped evacuate civilians. After the russians captured Mariupol, collaborators betrayed them, and both were executed. Their bodies lay in the street for nearly three months before the russians dumped them into a pit.
Olesia’s children were staying with relatives in the Kyiv region. Her daughter was four, and her son was eleven. Their evacuation bus was struck by an enemy projectile, killing them both.
After their childrenβs deaths, Olesia’s husband, also a surgeon, joined the army. In September, while evacuating the wounded from Bakhmut, a missile struck his car.
Having lost her entire family, Olesia returned to Ukraine from Italy and joined the army as a combat medic.
There are thousands of stories like this in Ukraine. People who lost everything. By this war, russians have set in motion a force that will hunt them for generations. Ukraine will never forget.

What do these women have in common?
They all are:
- Ukrainian
- Combat medics
- Risk their lives
- Too often get killed by russians
The world is a better place because of such women, and we should do everything that we can to protect them from the russian evil.
Happy International Women’s Day!

Trump Wants to #Deport 240,000 UkrainiansβBut Not russians?
Ukrainians fled bombs. russians fled the dictator they #chose. One escaped death. The other escaped #consequences.
Now Trump wants to send Ukrainians back to occupied homes and bombed-out citiesβwhile russians are welcome to stay?
π‘In 2022 alone, russians filed 7,169 asylum applicationsβmore than in the previous eight years combined. Since the full-scale invasion, 70,025 russian nationals have been caught crossing the Southwest Border, making them the second-#largest non-hemispheric group in five years.
In 2024, russians had an 85.2% asylum approval rateβthe #highest outside Latin America.
βοΈSo letβs get this straight: The people who lost their homes, their cities, and in many cases, their familiesβget deported. But the ones who ran after backing their dictator? They stay.
This isnβt just hypocrisy. Itβs a sickness.
β οΈ By liking, sharing, and creating content about Ukraine, you help spread the truth. It costs you nothingβbut for Ukrainians, it can mean survival. Awareness saves lives.
