Ukrainian forces have recently made progress in the Slavyansk direction, advancing near the administrative center of the urban community. Geolocation footage released on April 12 shows that the defenders have recently advanced northeast of Liman.
For their part, the occupiers also tried to attack in this direction, but had no confirmed success, according to an analysis by the Institute for the Study of War.
Fighting in the area of Sloviansk
According to ISW, Russian propagandists claimed that Putin’s forces had captured Lypivka and Fedorivka Druga (both southeast of Sloviansk). Russian military bloggers also claimed that the occupiers had advanced north and northeast of Liman, south of Ozerne and west of Kryvaya Luka (both southeast of Liman). Analysts note that there is no evidence of Russian advances on this section of the front.
Russian troops attacked near the Lyman itself; northwest of the Lyman, near Drobyshev and Yarov; north of the Lyman, near Stavki; northeast of the Lyman, near Kolodyazy; southeast of the Lyman towards Ozerne; south of the Lyman, near Dibrova; northeast of Sloviansk towards Stary Karavan; southeast of Sloviansk, near Fedorovka Druha; and east of Sloviansk, near Kalenykivka and Riznykovka and towards Rai-Oleksandrivka.

The situation in Donbas
In general, the situation in Donbas in the area of Pokrovsk, Druzhkivka, and Kramatorsk remains extremely tense, characterized by active hostilities and attempts by Russian troops to advance into the “Fortress Belt” of Ukraine.
Russian troops continue intensive offensive operations on Pokrovsk, but no confirmed advances have been recorded over the past 24 hours. Attacks have been recorded directly in the Pokrovsk area itself, as well as to the northwest (Grishyne), north (Rodynske, Bilytske), northeast (Zatyshok), and east (Mirnograd).

Attempts to advance were also made southwest of the city in the direction of Udachny and Molodetsky. Despite the pressure, Ukrainian forces are holding their positions.
In the Kostyantynivka-Druzhkivka tactical area, Russian forces are highly active, using small group tactics. According to ISW, attempts at Russian infiltration have been recorded in the Stepanivka area (southwest of Kostyantynivka). While geolocation footage confirms the presence of Russian groups in the area, ISW notes that this has not yet led to a change in the line of control or the edge of the combat zone.

We remind you that Ukrainian defenders do not stop destroying enemy military equipment and personnel in the Lyman direction (Donetsk region). Recently, our fighters captured a Russian “Ural”, and then prevented the enemy from establishing a pontoon crossing.
As OBOZ.UA reported, the spokesman for the 3rd Army Corps, Oleksandr Borodin, said that the invaders are continuing their offensive on Lyman, but have changed their approach to fighting after significant losses of equipment.
