The evacuation was carried out under intense fire from russian forces.
Operators of Ukraine’s 73rd Naval Special Operations Center successfully rescued 16 soldiers from three units of the Defense Forces during a daring mission in the Kursk region, as reported on the Telegram channel of the Special Operations Forces.
The mission began at 2:00 a.m., when the operators received an urgent task to extract a group of soldiers surrounded by enemy forces.
Within two hours, the team developed a rescue plan and set off in two armored Humvees.
“We flew in on Humvees, loaded the personnel of the friendly forces, and headed back,” said Bruce, an operator of the 73rd Naval Special Operations Center.
