The Wolly module combines automation, durability, and combat-tested design.
The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine has officially approved domestically manufactured Wolly remote-controlled combat module for deployment. This cutting-edge system represents a significant step forward in Ukraine’s military capabilities, reflecting a blend of innovation and battlefield-tested practicality.
The Wolly module comes equipped with a choice of 7.62 mm or 12.7 mm caliber machine guns, featuring an automatic ammunition feed system. It also boasts a thermal imaging camera and advanced automation systems for target detection, recognition, and tracking, ensuring precise and efficient operation in various combat scenarios.
According to the Main Directorate of Support for the Lifecycle of Weapons and Military Equipment, the development of the Wolly module integrated feedback from Ukrainian defenders with real-world combat experience. Deputy Minister of Defense Dmytro Klimenkov emphasized that improvements in control methods and automation were made based on direct suggestions from the field, highlighting the module’s user-centered design.
Lightweight and portable, the Wolly module can be transported to installation sites by a single servicemember. Its long-lasting battery allows for continuous operation over several days, further enhancing its practicality on the battlefield.
The biggest advantage of a combat machine, besides saving human lives, is that it’s absolutely fearless.
I once heard that “courage is being able to move past fear,”. If that’s the case our heroes have a shit load of courage.
