Armament, which comes to the Ukrainian army from the allies, helps to destroy the hordes of Russian invaders. German DM22 anti-ship mines have already burned dozens of tanks and armored vehicles.
The DM22 is easy to use and quickly deploys into a combat position. You can see more about the German mines in the story of the Military Television of Ukraine.
The DM22 directional anti-tank mine has an effective range of up to 40 m and armor penetration of 600 mm. The principle of action is based on a tandem cumulative charge.

These “mines” are unique in that they are not buried into the ground, as can be seen by their setup. They act like an automatic bazooka or Panzerfaust. The explosion is relatively small, due to the shaped charge, but the armor penetration is immense – 600 mm. That’s almost two feet of steel! The explosion of a regular anti-tank mine looks a lot more impressive, but, as the video explains, does relatively little damage. At least, a tank can be repaired and used again. Not with this bad boy!
