Ukrainian defenders in the Kharkov region not only repelled the enemy’s positions, but also freed prisoners. The third separate assault brigade successfully carried out assault operations, eliminating the enemy’s sabotage and reconnaissance group and returning captured fighters, including an officer, a sergeant and soldiers.

“We immediately decided that we needed to send a rapid response team to search for them. At that time, when the enemy was busy with us, our allies managed to escape. It was important to do this, because in any case, those guys who were captured were carriers of certain information. There was an officer, a unit commander, who already had more information than an ordinary infantryman. We needed to do everything to prevent this information from reaching the enemy. We could have found ourselves in the same situation as our allies, that we could have simply gone to a position and made contact on our logistics route,” the soldier explained.

During the operation, the Ukrainians not only returned their brothers, but also improved their positions on the front, clearing the gray zone and strengthening the defense line. The enemy’s activity in this direction was extremely high, especially in the use of continuously operating FPV drones.

It was previously reported that the situation in the Kharkov direction remains difficult. Russian occupation forces continue to strengthen their positions and reinforce their units.

As OBOZ.UA reported, the enemy’s intentions regarding the Kharkiv region remain unchanged. Russian occupiers are still trying to reach Kharkiv. And the Kursk operation provided the necessary pause, which the Defense Forces used.
