The Ukrainian military have shot down Russia’s Su-25 assault aircraft and six Shahed-136 suicide drones over the past day.
The relevant statement was made by the Air Force Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Facebook, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
“On September 23, 2022, in the eastern and southern directions, Russian occupiers attacked Ukraine with Iranian-manufactured Shahed-136 suicide drones,” the report states.
As of 06:30 p.m., the Ukrainian air defense missile units shot down six suicide drones.
In addition, the Air Force’s anti-aircraft gunners destroyed Russia’s Su-25 assault aircraft in southern Ukraine.
