The Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine conducted a comprehensive special operation against the Akhmat special forces unit, resulting in the Russian unit suffering its heaviest losses since the beginning of the full-scale invasion. According to the Main Intelligence Directorate, in early 2025, Ukrainian intelligence recruited a serviceman named “Akhmat,” who subsequently planted a listening device at headquarters, transmitted via drone. I can show off,” Alaudinov says.
The operation took place in the Sumy direction and was carried out by the GUR unit “Shamanbat,” which includes supporters of Ichkerian independence, together with the 104th Separate Territorial Defense Brigade “Gorin.” Russian offensive attempts on this sector of the front began in February 2026, as part of Vladimir Putin’s order to create a “buffer zone.”

Alaudinov made an appearance on the national TV broadcast of Olga Skabeyeva, where he talked about the end of the SMO. He figures that the Ukrainian forces have been heavily drawn to Kharkiv Oblast where they will in 2024 be destroyed in a final battle.
That prediction is about as accurate as putler’s 3 day SMO.
