Ukrainian intelligence carried out a new cyber attack on Russia’s largest banks, – source

In particular, Tinkoff Bank was attacked, journalists learned.

Ukrainian intelligence has again attacked the largest banks of the Russian Federation.

As UNIAN was informed by a source in the special services, cyber specialists from the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine carried out another DDoS attack on the Russian banking system.

According to the source, as a result of the operation, the work of the largest banking institutions of the aggressor state, which support the activities of the occupation forces of the Russian armed forces, was disrupted.

Thus, in particular, Bank Rossiya, Tinkoff Bank, Gaz Bank and the SBP payment system were hit by a cyberattack.

Users in many regions of Russia complain about blocked work of online services of financial institutions, impossibility to use “personal account”, termination of work of sites and mobile applications of banks. In addition, clients of banks cannot make online payment for services.
