22 January, 2026

On the night of January 22, Ukraine’s Defense Forces struck the Tamanneftegaz oil terminal in Russia’s Krasnodar region, as well as a number of enemy air defense facilities in temporarily occupied Crimea

The Ukrainian Armed Forces’ General Staff reported the information.

According to the military, the Tamanneftegaz terminal, located in the settlement of Volna in Russia’s Krasnodar region, was involved in supplying Russian armed forces.

“Direct hits on the target were confirmed – explosions and fire occurred. The extent of the damage is being clarified,” the General Staff noted.

In addition, Ukrainian units struck a number of enemy facilities in temporarily occupied Crimea. Specifically, hits were confirmed on a 59N6-E Protivnik-GE radar station near the settlement of Libknekhtivka, as well as on 55Zh6 Nebo-U radar stations in Yevpatoria and a 55Zh6M Nebo-M in the Rusakivka area.

The degree of damage to these facilities is being clarified.

The Defense Forces also struck a number of targets in other temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine. In particular, they hit a drone storage facility in Novohryhorivka in the Kherson region, a company command observation post of Russia’s 76th Air Assault Division, and a concentration area of personnel from the enemy’s 74th Separate Motorized Rifle Brigade in the Selydove area of the Donetsk region.

The General Staff also provided updated results from the strike on an ammunition depot of Russia’s 101st Separate Material and Technical Support Brigade in Debaltseve. A direct hit was confirmed, followed by a large-scale detonation of ammunition.

“Ukraine’s Defense Forces will continue to systematically carry out measures aimed at weakening the enemy’s offensive capabilities and reducing Russia’s military-economic potential in order to compel the Russian Federation to cease its armed aggression against Ukraine,” the General Staff concluded.

  • During the day on January 21, the Russian army lost at least 1,070 more military personnel. Ukrainian defenders also destroyed 53 artillery systems and 9 enemy tanks.
