On the night of Oct. 19-20, Ukrainian drones from the SBU, Special Operations Forces (SSO), and the Main Intelligence Directorate (HUR) struck the Sverdlov plant in the city of Dzerzhinsk, Nizhny Novgorod Oblast, according to NV sources within Ukrainian intelligence services.
Ukrainian officers reported that the facility is part of Russia’s military-industrial complex and has been sanctioned by the EU and the U.S. because its products are used in Russia’s war against Ukraine.

The plant manufactures explosives, aviation and artillery shells, bombs (including KABs), cumulative anti-tank guided missile warheads, and warheads for air defense missile systems. The facility is located 900 kilometers from the Ukrainian border.
“The SBU has been working to strengthen sanctions against the Sverdlov plant. To the economic sanctions, we’ve added drones, which deliver an immediate impact. Our work to reduce the enemy’s military capabilities will continue,” an informed source in Ukrainian intelligence told NV.
Explosions were reported in Dzerzhinsk, Nizhny Novgorod Oblast, on the night of Oct. 19-20.
According to the Russian news outlet Astra, the Sverdlov plant, part of Russia’s military-industrial complex, was hit.
Later, Russian media and Telegram channels reported smoke over Dzerzhinsk.

The more factories and military facilities Ukraine hit that are located deep inside mafia land, the more the cowards in the West will say Ukraine don’t need long range missiles. It’s a terrible situation to be placed in by the Biden admin.
That’s true. Ukraine’s success in this regard is also a failure. You can have something happening so warped only with the types of “leaders” that we are unlucky to have.
