“Tonight, the air defense forces of the Ministry of Defense repelled a massive UAV attack on the territory of the Volgograd region in the Kalachivsky, Gorodishche districts and in the southern part of Volgograd. The UAV was intercepted and neutralized by the regular air defense means of the Russian Ministry of Defense,” the report said, citing the press service of the governor of the region, Andrey Bocharov.

It is also reported that at 4 a.m., Rosaviatsia temporarily closed Gumrak Airport for air traffic safety reasons. During this time, the airport did not receive or depart flights. Work was resumed at 6:35 a.m.

Rostov Region Governor Yuriy Slyusar said that an alleged “enemy air attack” was repelled overnight, and a drone was shot down in the Millerovsky district. According to him, no injuries or damage were reported at the scene, and the information is being verified.

In the Smolensk region, air defense forces destroyed 12 drones, Governor Vasily Anokhin reported.

As a reminder, on the night of May 16, at least ten explosions were heard in the city of Orel, Oryol region of Russia. It is likely that this was triggered by air defense near the local oil base. Residents said that they heard at least ten explosions and also noticed several bright flashes in the sky above the oil facility.

As OBOZ.UA reported, the Russian city of Yelabuga in the Republic of Tatarstan was allegedly attacked by drones on Sunday afternoon, June 15. Local residents heard explosions, after which smoke was visible at the site of the alleged landings. Authorities said one person was killed and 13 were injured.
