Ukrainian drones attacked Sochi again when Putin was there, Russian media reports

Late in the evening of October 2, Ukrainian drones attacked Sochi while Russian dictator Vladimir Putin was in the city, speaking at a plenary session of the Valdai Club.

This is reported by the Russian publication The Moscow Times, reports  Censor.NET .

Shortly before the drone strike began, dictator Putin finished his speech at the plenary session of the Valdai Forum.

The airports in Sochi and Gelendzhik were closed due to a UAV threat at around 10:30 p.m. Half an hour later, Sochi Mayor Andrei Proshunin announced a threat of drone attacks on the city.

The head of Sirius, Dmitry Plishkin, also reported on the threat in the federal territory. Local residents complained about the sounds of air defense over the Black Sea and explosions against the background of sirens.

The Russian Ministry of Defense claimed that the air defense “liquidated” 11 Ukrainian drones over the Black Sea and four more targets in Crimea.

As The Moscow Times notes, the drone threat in Sochi and Sirius was lifted approximately 30-40 minutes after the Ukrainian drone raid began. At the same time, restrictions at the Sochi and Gelendzhik airports lasted for seven hours.
