Ukraine’s Security Service (SBU) has carried out more than 160 successful strikes on Russian oil production facilities since the start of 2025, according to SBU chief Vasyl Malyuk statement of October 31.
Malyuk said that between September and October alone, Ukrainian drones hit 20 oil-related targets inside Russia, including six refineries, two oil terminals, three depots, and nine pumping stations.
He added that the attacks have caused a 20% fuel shortage, shut down 37% of Russia’s refining capacity, and triggered fuel deficits across 57 regions, forcing Moscow to impose a ban on gasoline exports through the end of the year.
Malyuk also noted that Russia’s Pantsir air defense systems have proven the most effective against Ukrainian drones, but Ukraine has destroyed 48% of them since early 2025.
While Russia can produce around 30 such systems per year, the number lost to Ukrainian strikes already exceeds that figure, according to Malyuk.
Previously, it was reported that SBU strike drones executed a successful night operation targeting key Russian military and infrastructure sites across temporarily occupied Crimea.
By morning, the Russians were reportedly missing a Pantsir-S2 anti-aircraft missile system, a crucial element of their air defense valued at about $20 million. The adversary also lost two radar stations.

These are huge numbers considering the enormous size of the mafia oil industry. And, I’m sure that Ukraine will increase those numbers even more. Their fuel saving regime will be extended well beyond the end of this year.
Putin must be brought down, maybe Zelenskyy too. Ukraine suffered enough, it just has to stop! 😭
Changing a president in time of war never has anything positive to it, especially if the people don’t want it and the law doesn’t allow it. Zelensky is not perfect, but he’s been quite steadfast and is a symbol of resistance.

How is he “resisting”? During war time Ukraine cannot hold elections, as per their Constitution.
