Declaration condemns the use of force against peaceful protesters
The Ukrainian delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) with the support of the delegations of Great Britain, Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania initiated the Belarusian Declaration. This was announced by the head of the delegation, the MP from the Servant of the People Yelyzaveta Yasko on Facebook.
In the declaration, the presidential elections in Belarus are called inconsistent with international electoral standards and those that do not reflect the free expression of the will of the Belarusian people.
The use of force against participants in peaceful protests in Minsk, Grodno, Gomel, Brest and other Belarusian cities is condemned.
The Belarusian authorities are called for the immediate release of all illegally detained participants in peaceful assemblies.
The parties to the electoral process called for dialogue, and an independent investigation into the misuse of force against participants in peaceful assemblies is encouraged.
The Russian Federation was warned against interfering in the internal affairs of Belarus.
After the presidential elections, thousands of rallies in Belarus have been held throughout the country for a week. The republican authorities attempted to harshly suppress the actions, which intensified the protest waves. All over the country, the largest enterprises are on strike, the inhabitants of cities are united in living chains in protest.
According to the final data of the CEC, the incumbent President Alexander Lukashenko received 80.1% of the vote, his main opponent Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya – 10.1%.
During the protests, the police brutally detained the protesters, used flash-noise grenades and rubber bullets against them.

A rather futile exercise by the countries involved in this declaration. One, Muscovy would block any action against Belarus from PACE, but secondly, and more importantly, Belarus are not a member of PACE, or the ECHR. I should imagine these two useless organisations are breathing a sigh of relief over this fact.

Ukraine should keep out of it and say nothing. Belarus is no friend of Ukraine and as a putlerstan satellite is an active enemy. Tikhanovskaya has already demonstrated that she is no friend of Ukraine either, so what is the point of Ukraine sticking its nose in?
