Ballistic missiles manufactured by Fire Point will strike targets on Russian territory in just a few weeks.
Iryna Terekh, the companyโs CEO, announced this on the sidelines of the โPhotonics4Defense 2026: Technology Exchange & Matchmakingโ event.
According to her, the FP-7 has already successfully completed two stages of testing. The company is now preparing to test the product under combat conditions. This stage is also part of the missileโs certification process.
โWe expect it to be ready for deployment very soon. Weโre talking about weeks, not months,โ Terekh noted.
She explained that the initial stages of missile testing involve ground and laboratory tests, during which each system and subsystemโincluding the rocket engine and navigation equipmentโis tested separately.

This is followed by flight tests, during which the company collects data on the missileโs performance and compares its actual characteristics with the calculated ones.
The third stage, which the company is currently preparing for, involves testing under combat conditions. In late November 2025, it was announced that the company planned to complete the codification process for the FP-7 tactical ballistic missile with the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense by the end of 2025.
In early February 2026, Denys Shtilierrman clarified in an interview with DW that, despite hopes that the missile would enter service by the end of 2025, a โseries of eventsโ had prevented this from happeningโโwe hope to complete all tests in Februaryโ.
At the same time, the FP-9 is currently undergoing flight tests, meaning it is in the second phase.

The developers note that testing the FP-9 is harder to organize because of its long range. The missile has a minimum ballistic flight distance beyond which it can no longer be programmatically stopped.
Because of this, Ukraineโs territory is insufficient for a full-scale test of the FP-9. Therefore, once the current phase is complete, its military testing may immediately proceed to operations against Russian targets.
Militarnyi previously reported that in July 2026, Denys Shtilierman, Fire Pointโs chief designer, stated that the only thing standing between the start of FP-9 ballistic missile testsโinvolving strikes on Russiaโand their implementation is the testing of the solid-fuel engine.

I can’t wait to see their hammer blows across mafia land.
Hit the powerplants of Moscow as a test. Would be a good start.
Or that stupid circus church by the kremlin.

lol. Me too, we’ve been waiting for this. We will see what the debris will do ๐
Man I am telling you what, Fire Point is cranking out the missiles designs. The government owned beuro worked on the Smart missile even before independence and still had not produced thme in any numbers. Fire point has produced the Flamengo and now the FP7. two in as many years and ro putting them in production.
This goes to show what Ukraine can accomplish when it’s people a freed from the stifling Soviet era bureaucratic inertia and corruption that held them back for decades.
So true. They are a very impressive people.
