Ukrainian defenders destroyed three more enemy ammunition depots in the south in a day.

During June 1, the Ukrainian military in the south of the country as a result of the fighting destroyed 21 invaders, attacked three enemy field ammunition depots and sank two high-speed landing craft.

The Russian military hid the boats in the Dnieper-Bug estuary in readiness for practicing sabotage and reconnaissance actions. 

In addition, the APU destroyed: 

• 1 anti-aircraft and 1 self-propelled artillery;
• 4 T-72 tanks;
• 4 units of armored and automotive vehicles;
• 3 UAVs.

The enemy concentrated his efforts on capturing the Lugansk region, and heavy fighting for Severodonetsk is still going on. According to the General Staff , the invaders have established control  over the eastern part of the city.

According to Western officials , the capture of Severodonetsk by enemy troops is unlikely to “become the basis” of the Russian campaign in the Donbas, which could drag on “until the end of the year.” 

To declare victory, the RF Armed Forces would have to achieve “further difficult operational goals.” To do this, you need to take the city of Kramatorsk, most of the main road M04 between the Ukrainian city of Dnipro and Donetsk.

On the eve of the head of the Luhansk region Serhiy Gaidai noted that the Russians will not be able to surround the Ukrainian forces, since the Armed Forces of Ukraine have the opportunity to retreat to equipped positions outside the city.

At the same time, the counteroffensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine continues in the Kherson direction  .  Ukrainian defenders have already liberated 20 settlements in the north of the region.
