The National Anti-corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) has raided the resi-dence of Ukrainian oligarch Ihor Kolomoisky, retrieving a number of docu-ments and the contents of Kolomoisky’s phone, Ukrainian newspaper ZN reported on Sept. 18.
According to ZN’s sources, the raid of Kolomoisky’s residence in Bukovel in western Ukraine was done in connection to a case involving the Ukrnafta national oil company. NABU is investigating Ukrnafta shareholders on suspicion of defrauding it of UAH 13 billion ($357 million).
NABU agents told ZN the raid came as a surprise to them as well.
Kolomoisky told Ukrainian newspaper Ukrayinska Pravda he “didn’t hear” about the raid.
While Kolomoisky and his associates own 42% of Ukrnafta’s shares (the majority stake belongs to state-owned Naftogaz), he is not a suspect in the investigation, investigators say.

So, maybe he’s only saying these things because he senses the high-level of patriotism in the country and fears the possibility that the government, in this volatile atmosphere, might finally do what is necessary with him. He’s been a gigantic fat tick in the flesh of Ukraine’s society for much too long. But, I will change my mind about him if you have info on concrete help he’s been giving the country in this war, and not only hot oral gases.
