Ukraine’s Air Force has reported shooting down another aircraft and 12 Shahed loitering munitions today, on the morning of 18 February.

Details: In addition to the warplane, Ukrainian air defence forces shot down 12 Shaheds and a Kh-59 missile.
Ukrainian Air Force reported that the Russian army attacked Ukraine with 6 S-300 anti-aircraft guided missiles (from the occupied city of Donetsk), 3 Kh-22 cruise missiles (from the city of Voronezh, Russia), a Kh-59 guided missile (from the occupied part of Zaporizhzhia Oblast), and 14 Shahed loitering munitions (from the cities of Primorsko-Akhtarsk and Kursk, Russia) on the night of 17-18 February.
The aircraft in question was shot down on the Eastern front.
Background: On the morning of 17 February, Ukrainian Air Force units shot down three Russian aircraft on the Eastern front: two Su-34 fighter-bombers and one Su-35 fighter jet.

Right, Mr. Ofp! The recent successes of the AFU against Russian fighter jets are very encouraging. Going against the launch platforms will reduce the number of incoming missiles. I also think it’s a good idea to show the public where the missiles and drones come from. This strengthens the argument that Ukraine needs long range weapons to strike back at the launch sites, depots and factories in Russia. That misguided Western governments insist on not attacking the aggressor country is a perversion of war and binding one hand of the brave defenders behind their back. If the US or a major European country were attacked, they would never limit their defense in that way. Ukraine shouldn’t be forced to accept that, neither!
I fully agree, Mr. Gray. The limitations that the West has placed on Ukraine is not only deplorable, but downright stupid and completely unjust. None would ever conduct warfare with the same handicaps that they’ve forced on Ukraine. They are not only complete cowards, but hypocrites.
