As my own contacts on the ground tell me, Chris understands the Ukrainian zeitgeist very well indeed. They know that Krasnov is far more likely to help his bum chum murder Ukrainians than help Ukrainians defend themselves from his genocide.
As for other countries that have Patriots : they’re keeping shtum at the moment. Miserable bastards.

“What’s happening in Ukraine shows just how broken NATO really is.

As of August 2026, nine NATO member states—including the USA—have procured or operate the Patriot air and missile defence system.

Eight of them are most likely F*ed (along with 23 others).

Russia is launching 100-120 ballistic missiles against Ukraine a month.

According to Defence Intelligence of Ukraine (DIU), Russia will produce up to 700 Iskander operational-tactical systems in 2026. It has more than doubled output of RM-48U missiles for the S-300PM and S-400 air defence systems it fires at ground targets, with over 480 planned this year, plus up to 60 air-launched Kinzhal hypersonic missiles.

Add roughly 160 North Korean ballistic missiles about to be deployed to Russia, and the total climbs another 12,5%.

1,410 ballistic missiles launched every year.

These will be employed against NATO when Russia decides to attack one or more member states. And only eight European member states have Patriot. However, they are barely better protected than the 23 that have none.

A Patriot system without interceptor missiles has no defensive value.

In January 2026, the U.S. government and Lockheed Martin signed a long-term framework agreement to expand annual PAC-3 MSE production from today’s 600 to 2,000 over seven years. “The expansion is intended to replenish U.S. inventories while meeting growing demand from NATO allies and partners.” In seven years. Four years after Russia is expected to attack US’s allies in Europe.
Raytheon delivers 240–300 PAC-2 GEM-T a year, scaling toward about 420.

Standard doctrine fires two interceptors at each incoming ballistic missile to maximize the probability of kill. Even 2,000 PAC-3 interceptors would not cover Ukraine’s operational requirements. Not today. In seven years. And only if no other threats evolved (Iran, China or North Korea), and only if peace held in the Middle East.

More than 800 Patriot interceptors were reportedly fired during the first five days of the US’s war against Iran. Reportedly, by the end of the roughly five-month conflict the US had expended about 65% of its Patriot interceptor inventory and 38% of its THAAD interceptors.

America will always come first. Israel will most likely come second. Europe will at best receive interceptors when the US’s and Israel’s requirements are met.

The US recently declined Ukraine’s request for hundreds more Patriot interceptors ahead of winter.

The lack of interceptors to stop Russian ballistic missiles is no longer Ukraine’s problem. It is a systemic failure of the West.

This is why Ukraine’s talks with 10 countries and 12 defence companies on Freyja, a joint European anti-ballistic missile system, matter more by the month. The coalition consists of Ukraine, Denmark, France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Norway, Spain, Sweden and the UK.”
