Ukraine’s course towards NATO membership to be documented in upcoming Ukraine’s military strategy – Aparshin

Within two to three months, the military strategy of Ukraine will appear, which will document the course of Ukraine towards NATO membership, said Ivan Aparshin, Director General of the Directorate for National Security and Defense of the President’s Office of Ukraine.

“Ukraine’s acquisition of NATO membership is not discussed at all today. In the near future, the presidential decree, the national security and defense strategy, there also will be a direct link there, that Ukraine’s ultimate goal is Ukraine’s full membership in NATO. In the near future, within two-three months there will be a military strategy. There will also be a direct norm regarding Ukraine’s joining NATO,” he said at a public debate on the anniversary of constitutional amendments in Kyiv on Monday.

He noted that Ukraine’s aspirations for membership in the Alliance are confirmed by practical steps.

“The budget has been increased. The state defense order, although with a delay, has already been adopted today. Today, again, some changes will be made at the committee level …,” Aparshin said.

He also said that the President’s Office began an inspection of the Ministry of Defense and the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the issue of territorial defense.

    • I still hope Turkey will end up screwing Ruskieland. Certainly Ruskieland needs Turkey more than Turkey needs Ruskieland. Sooner or later little Putler will get too greedy.

        • You have been, mate, sometimes even I cringe when I read your posts about Turkey. Not that I disagree but I still hold to the theory that an enemy of my enemy is my friend … :))

          • I hold my position not to be corrupt. If i dislike somebody i won’t change my mind only because he turns against my main enemy. I welcome support from friends and gladly discard alliances with other pieces of shit. 😉

            • Turkey could really fuck Vladolf. I think that’s one of the reasons the Moskali opened a gas line through there. Putler spreads chaos and socioeconomic decay then offers to “help” you. If Erdogan wakes up, little Putler is in a whole lot of trouble.

              • Putler is always in trouble. He pissed off so many countries that most of Russia’s cash is wasted on protecting him from these, including his own people.

  1. I don’t like Turkey at all. In fact, I have been there a couple of times and I came back liking Turkey even less. But as it is NATO, we should take them seriously. Putin should know he can’t win against any NATO country. We should defend all allies, no matter whether it is a heroic county like Lithuania or a corrupt snake pit like Hungary. NATO should be united, because Russia has a stronger military than any NATO country except for the U.S.

Indeed, against France or the U.K. are technologically superior, but Russia would sent toddlers to the battlefield if all others have died. They have zero respect for human life, including their own, and that makes them exceptionally dangerous. We should be prepared to fight for each square inch of any NATO country, because if NATO breaks up, Europe is toast and a huge war in inevitable.
