Weapons of War
Ukraine has developed its own ballistic missile — and it has reportedly already entered combat.
In this episode of Weapons of War, Operator Starsky examines the Ukrainian FP-7 ballistic missile developed by Fire Point, the company behind the FP-1 and FP-2 drones and the Flamingo cruise missile.
According to the developer’s published specifications, FP-7 has a range of up to 250 km, carries a 200 kg payload and can reach speeds of approximately 5,400 km/h. Fire Point also claims the missile could cost six to seven times less than comparable Western weapons.
How does FP-7 compare with ATACMS? What challenges could it pose for Russian air defenses? And what do we know about Fire Point’s next project — the longer-range FP-9?
Operator Starsky breaks down Ukraine’s latest missile development, its reported combat debut and what it could mean for the future of Ukrainian defense production.
