
On the night of August 30, Russia launched a massive drone and missile attack on Ukraine. Ukrainian air defenses intercepted 548 targets
Ukrainian Air Force reports.
The aggressor has launched at Ukraine:
- 537 Shahed-type strike UAVs and various types of imitator drones from Kursk, Bryansk, Millerovo, Orel, Shatalovo, Primorsko-Akhtarsk – Russia;
- 8 Iskander-M/KN-23 ballistic missiles from the Rostov region and Krasnodar region of the Russian Federation.
- 37 air-, ground-, and sea-launched cruise/air-launched missiles: Kh-101, Kalibr, Iskander-K, Kh-59 (launch areas from Saratov region of the Russian Federation, the Black Sea and the temporarily occupied territories of Zaporizhzhia region).
The aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare and unmanned systems units, and mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled the air attack.
According to preliminary data, as of 9:00 a.m., air defense shot down/suppressed 548 air targets:
- 510 Russian Shahed-type UAVs and various types of imitator drones;
- 6 Iskander-M/KN-23 ballistic missiles;
- 32 cruise/air missiles Kh-101, Kalibr, Iskander-K, Kh-59.
“Five missiles and 24 attack UAVs hit 7 locations, and the downed ones fell (wreckage) at 21 locations,” the Air Force said.
As of 9:02 a.m., the Russian attack continued. Several more UAVs were spotted in Ukrainian airspace.
- On August 29–30, Russia struck Ukraine with drones and missiles: one killed, over 20 injured in Zaporizhzhia, damage also in Dnipropetrovsk region.
