The French minister predicted the development of the war in Ukraine.

French Foreign Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian said he believes in Ukraine’s victory in the war with Russia.

This was stated by the head of the French Foreign Ministry on the air of the France 5 TV channel, DW quotes .

“I believe that Ukraine will win. For ten days, the most striking thing is the resistance of Ukraine on such a scale that experts could not imagine,” Le Drian said.

The Minister noted that the cost of the war would become unbearable for Russia.

“President Putin will at some point be faced with a choice: either get significant consequences for the functioning of Russia, or start negotiations,” he added.

Le Drian expressed confidence that Western sanctions against the Russian Federation in the long term will deter Putin from further aggression.

Recall that on February 24, early in the morning, Russian troops broke into Ukrainian territory. Later,  the Verkhovna Rada supported the introduction of martial law to our country . 

The enemy attacked military facilities, and then used various weapons and aircraft against peaceful settlements, in particular, Kyiv, Kharkov and Mariupol were shelled more than once.
