The European Union has agreed on a credit package to help Ukraine in the total amount of 35 billion euros for the next year. This was reported by journalist Rikard Jozvyak on Platform X.
“EU ambassadors have just agreed on a 35 billion euro aid package for Ukraine for 2025,” he wrote.
Yozvyak added that, at the same time, the ambassadors were unable to agree on an increase in the time periods for which the already introduced sanctions against the Russian Central Bank are extended. Now the sanctions have to be extended every six months for the next 6 months. There is a proposal to extend the sanctions for a period of 36 months, that is, to operate in three-year periods of sanctions. However, Hungary opposes it.
