US Senator Richard Blumenthal expressed disappointment with the long delivery times.
The delivery of 500 PAC-3 MSE missiles to Ukraine for Patriot air defense systems , approved by the US State Department, will take place after 2030.

This was reported by Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty journalist Alex Raufogl, citing his own sources. Thus, as the journalist noted, this does not solve the problem of an acute shortage of interceptor missiles, which Ukraine critically needs on the eve of this winter.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has already called the US State Department’s decision to allow Ukraine to buy interceptors for the Patriots a strong one, but noted that their delivery may not begin as quickly as Ukraine expects.
In addition, US Senator Richard Blumenthal also noted that he is “disappointed by the fact that, according to the statement, the interceptors will be delivered to Ukraine only in a few years”:
“Faced with a horribly harsh winter and unbearable hardships from Russian bombing, Ukraine urgently needs air defenses. US agreement to provide immediate assistance would save countless lives.”
