Over the past few days, 32 guided missiles have already been delivered to Ukraine.

Germany, together with its allies, is handing Ukraine 100 missiles for Patriot air defense systems . This was announced by German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius.

The head of the German Ministry of Defense noted that he recently visited Odesa, where he saw the consequences of Russian troops’ strikes on the city, and also announced the allocation of a new package of military aid.

“And especially after seeing how critical air defense is to Ukraine’s survival, today I am pleased to announce the delivery of a significant number of Patriot interceptors – one hundred,” Pistorius said.

According to him, it is about 100 missiles, which are transferred as part of the German initiative of immediate action on air defense together with Denmark, the Netherlands and Norway.

At the same time, as Pistorius specified, 32 guided missiles have already been delivered to Ukraine over the past few days. Another 68 rockets will arrive in the coming weeks. The Minister of Defense of Germany noted that with the help of these missiles, Ukrainian forces will be able to protect infrastructure facilities and lives.

  1. 100 Patriotic missiles, very much needed, but not an especially awe inspiring number. And still, we ‘re talking about a nine digit price tag here, more than one hundred millions! This shows a major flaw in Western armament – too high emphasis on state of the art technoligy, but not enough on systems that are cheap and simply good enough for most threats. That these Patriot missiles are needed for shooting down expensive Kinzhal or Iskander missiles, ok. But there need to be more cost effective ways to defend against cheaper cruise missiles. Western forces need to draw conclusions from the air strikes against Ukraine! 🤨
