UPDATE 0657 GMT:
At least five civilians were murdered and 12 injured by Russian attacks on Zaporizhzhia city in southern Ukraine on Saturday.
Russian forces launched nine glide bombs. The victims include a woman whose body was pulled from beneath the rubble of a destroyed home.
“Russia is a terrorist state,” said Zaporizhzhia Governor Ivan Fedorov.
UPDATE 0653 GMT:
Ukraine’s military struck fuel transit terminals and port infrastructure on both sides of the 21-mile Kerch Strait between southwest Russia and Russian-occupied Crimea overnight.
Photos and videos on social media show a fire and thick smoke at an oil and liquefied gas terminal in Kerch in Crimea.
On the other side of the Strait, a large fire was reported at the Kavkaz port on the Chushka Spit in Russia’s Krasnodar Krai. The site is a major logistics hub, hosting a fuel terminal and oil depot.
ORIGINAL ENTRY: In latest revelation of the Trump Administration’s insults and belittling of Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky, Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent advised Donald Trump not to host the “little fucker” in the Oval Office.
In the incident soon after Trump returned to office in January 2025, Bessent called Zelensky a “special-needs child” and “Mr Bean on crack”.
In a meeting in Kyiv on February 12, discussing the US attempt to get rare earth minerals from Ukraine, Bessent demanded that Zelensky sign the document confirming the arrangement. A “very angry” President refused in what became a 45-minute shouting match. Bessent snapped, “What the fuck do you want to do?”
Bessent then told Trump that, before he stepped foot in the White House, Zelensky should accede to the US demands. The Ukrainian President went to the White House on February 28 to confirm the deal, but was ambushed by Vice President J.D. Vance and Trump.
Several Trump advisors anticipated the verbal attack. National Security Advisor Mike Waltz said “Zelensky should come wearing a suit”.
After the ambush, Bessent said in interviews that Zelensky had scored “one of the great diplomatic own goals”:
I was shocked, shocked that President Zelensky walked into the Oval Office and behaved like that, spoke to the President and the Vice President that way, but most of all he showed disrespect to the American people.
Against the background of Trump’s admiration of Vladimir Putin, European leaders intervened to prevent a complete cut-off of US support for Ukraine’s resistance of Russia’s invasion.

EA on TVP World: Russia’s “Hybrid Warfare” on the UK

Far-right agitator Tommy Robinson (L) with Elon Musk’s father Errol (C) and actor Steven Seagal (R) in Moscow, June 2026
EA-Times Radio VideoCast: Russia’s “Hybrid War” Beyond Ukraine
I joined Poland’s TVP World on Thursday to analyze Russia’s campaign to destabilize the UK with sabotage, disinformation, and military manuevers.
The starting points are two episodes: the presence of the Russian warship Admiral Grigorevich in the English Channel, and the exposure of Russia’s operation setting fires in a car and properties linked to UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer.
I highlight other aspects of the “hybrid warfare”, including Moscow’s cultivation of the far-right racist Islamophobe Tommy Robinson.
I set all of this in the context of Russia’s plans since 2014 to unsettle and divide European countries and the US. And I examine wider connections linking the Kremlin, the Trump camp, and Elon Musk in efforts to undermine the UK’s Starmer Government.

Judging from the interview with Scott Lucas, TVP is one Polish entity that still supports Ukraine, thank God.
But that bastard Nawrocki is going to be a thorn in Ukraine’s side until he’s gone.
“I was shocked, shocked that President Zelensky walked into the Oval Office and behaved like that, spoke to the President and the Vice President that way, but most of all he showed disrespect to the American people.”
Nope, he showed how far the US admin are stuck in putins rear end. Even Loomer the loony says she was took in by russian propaganda.
I am hoping (probably a forlorn hope) that as she is claimed to have the ear of Krasnov, she might be able to knock some sense into him.

I hate to be the harbinger of bad news, Scradge, but nobody can knock sense into the orange gangster because he lacks the intellect, the foresight, and the morals to have any common sense and decency.
One year ago, “Trump’s Pastor” Mark Burns went to Ukraine and spoke passionately of his conversion from magaputler shithead to Ukraine supporter.
I certainly thought there was a chance his words would make a difference.
They didn’t and Burns now seems to have gone quiet.
So probably Loomer now will drop out of favour with Krasnov.
Some really good and interesting letters to the Editor of The Daily Telegraph from today :
Letters to the Editor

SIR – Vladimir Putin still refuses to negotiate an end to his “special military operation” in Ukraine. Why? Because he’s now in an impossible situation – one that might end his tenure in the Kremlin (“Ukraine’s victories make Putin even more dangerous”, Comment, June 18).
Four years ago, a swift and anticipated victory would have been a triumph for Putin. Even until quite recently, the territorial gains could have been regarded by many in Russia as acceptable returns for all the blood and treasure expended. Now, however, Putin’s forces are on the back foot and losing ground, and Volodymyr Zelensky will not be the supplicant in negotiations.
Any agreement in such circumstances would highlight just what a failure this war has been – an outcome that Putin cannot accept.

SIR – It is no surprise that Vladimir Putin’s invaders are steadily losing ground.
In February 1943, after more than five months of fighting, the Soviet Union defeated Nazi Germany at the Battle of Stalingrad, suffering approximately 1.1m casualties in the process. The Soviets were defending their homeland.
Eighty-three years later, it is the Ukrainians who are defending their home from the Russians. When one country is being invaded, it will fight tooth and nail to defeat the enemy. As things stand, a Ukrainian victory is becoming inevitable.

SIR – Could someone explain why Russia would want to attack a Nato country, when it has been unable to defeat Ukraine, a non-Nato country, over the past four years, while suffering devastating effects on its manpower, armaments and economy (“Putin expands military presence on Nato’s border”, report, June 11)?
Maybe the simple answer is that the Russian dictator has become totally deranged.

Now we know why Krasnov hired a squalid nonentity scrote like Bessant.
Key qualification for a top job with TAFU (Trump Always Fucks Up) :
Hatred of Zel, hatred of Ukraine, plus absurd deference to the child-murdering nazi.
