On the morning of December 31, an air raid alert was issued throughout Ukraine due to the threat of enemy missile strikes .
Subsequently, the Sumy Regional State Administration reported that the enemy launched a missile attack on the infrastructure of the Shostka community; the consequences of the Russian attack are being clarified.
The Russian invaders also attacked Kyiv and the region with ballistic missiles.
The KGVA reported on the work of the air defense in the capital. They also called on people to stay in shelters until the end of the alarm.
It should be noted that this is already the second such attack by Russian invaders in the capital since the beginning of the day. Thus, at 03:00 the Ukrainian Air Force reported a ballistic threat from the northeast. And soon after, high-speed targets were launched towards the capital. Mayor Vitali Klitschko reported on the work of the air defense in Kyiv.

Updated 8.15. The Kyiv City Defense Army reported that as a result of the missile strike on Kyiv, debris fell in the Darnitsky district of the capital. Debris fell on the roof of a private building, the information is still being verified. It is noted that there is no fire or damage. There is no information about casualties yet.
Updated 10.00. As a result of the morning missile strike and falling debris in the Darnitsky district of the capital, 3 private buildings and 2 cars were damaged. No victims were found. Also in one of the districts of the Kyiv region, after enemy shelling, a private residential building was partially destroyed .
At the same time, Russia has already made the standard statement that they struck some mythical “headquarters”.
“The strikes were carried out in the morning on the southeastern outskirts of Kyiv, presumably on one of the headquarters or foreign military,” writes the propaganda RIA Novosti.
Russian attacks on Ukraine
In addition to the missiles, an air raid alert has been declared in some regions of Ukraine due to the UAV threat. Russian occupiers also raised a MIG-31K into the air, which is why the alert has been declared throughout the country.
Let us recall that on December 25, Russian invaders launched a massive attack on Ukraine using missiles of various classes , as well as attack UAVs.
According to military expert Alexander Kovalenko, the occupiers may launch a massive missile strike on Ukraine on New Year’s Eve . In his opinion, the occupiers have already managed to collect a sufficient number of missiles for such an attack.
