Ukraine will receive additional assistance from the United States in the amount of $1.1 billion. In addition, the ally country will finance approximately 18 HIMARS and UAV missile systems.

This is reported by The Washington Post , citing sources  .

“The latest package is being provided by the Ukraine Security Assistance Initiative, which funds contracts for the purchase of weapons and equipment. And this brings the total amount of US assistance to Ukraine to almost $17 billion since the Biden administration came to power. Officials provided details about the package on condition of anonymity , since it has not yet been made public,” the publication notes.

The US is expected to officially announce the new aid package today, a bit later. The sources noted that this will be done due to the fact that the Russian Federation wants to announce the results of pseudo-referendums and annex the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine.

“The package includes funding for 18 High-Mobility Artillery Rocket System, or HIMARS, missile systems and their munitions, as well as 12 Titan systems that are used to counter drones. Officials said HIMARS and other similar systems have played a key role in combat successes Ukraine in recent weeks, and the Russians are using Iranian-made drones to engage Ukrainian forces, highlighting the need for more systems to counter this threat.

In addition, Ukraine received about 300 vehicles and dozens of trucks with trailers for transporting heavy equipment, various radars, communications and surveillance equipment, and other equipment for the military. The assistance package also includes special equipment for detecting explosives.

  1. Great!
    Get those HIMARS to Ukraine as fast as possible! Cockroaches need to be eliminated.
    Or, are they already there?

    • What will Ukraine get:

      18 High Mobility Artillery Rocket Systems (HIMARS) and related munitions;
      150 armored highly mobile multipurpose wheeled vehicles (HMMWV);
      150 tactical vehicles for towing weapons;
      40 trucks and 80 trailers for transporting heavy equipment;
      Two radars for unmanned aerial vehicles;
      20 multipurpose radars;
      Anti-unmanned aerial systems;
      Tactical secure communication systems, surveillance systems and optics;
      Equipment for the disposal of explosive objects;
      Body armor and other field equipment;
      Funding for training, maintenance and support

      • All of which will be put to great use. Sometimes it is hard to tell Sir OFP if we are really being told in advance or if they are telling us about it after the fact. I like knowing how some of the funds are being used but I understand the importance of surprises that the AFU can pull out suddenly.

        • As for me, Sir Bill, I think they’re either on their way or are already frying cockroaches somewhere in Ukraine.
