People who have worked with Trump say his views on Ukraine coincide with Putin’s.

During his presidency, Donald Trump expressed a strong belief that Ukraine should be part of Russia. Former Trump adviser Fona Hill spoke about this, writes The Guardian .
“Trump made it very clear that he believed that Ukraine, and of course Crimea, should be part of Russia. He really couldn’t come to terms with the idea of Ukraine being an independent state,” she said.
Hill made her remarks in an interview for the book New Cold Wars: China’s Rise, Russia’s Invasion, and America’s Struggle to Defend the West. Its author, former director of European and Russian affairs at the US National Security Council under President Trump, David Sanger, adds that Trump’s views on Ukraine were “essentially identical” to the views of Vladimir Putin .

It’sgetting worse and worse. That’s exactly Putin’s stance, Trump doesn’t even try to add his own spin anymore. He’s like a trained parrot! 🦜
Btw, imho Dems need to put more efforts into fighting back with memes. A video showing Trump parroting Putin’s talking points would expose that jerk as a mere puppet of Russia.
🤨
It’s not appropriate to assume anyone’s attitude about Russia remains the same after Feb 2022. The Finns had Russia wrong, saying – Russia’s not who we thought they were. I myself had Russia wrong. There was, and still is, tremendous ignorance throughout the world about who Putin & Russia are. There is reason to be optimistic: Trump’s understanding is evolving for the better. He’s no longer claiming to end the war in 24 hours, although CNN wants you to think he still says that. Trump has no leverage to force Ukraine to surrender anything. That is a new development of the previous six months. Circumstances are evolving. Objectivity requires one to consider only most recent data and evidence when trying to predict Trump, which others have pointed out – is practically impossible.
I can’t share your positive view of Trump, Duck. And I do think that blocking arms deliveries to Ukraine gives that asshole a lot of leverage. But if you still cheer for that Clown-in-Chief, despite it having become undoubtedly clear he’s only a puppet of Putin, it’s useless to try to convince you of the ugly truth, I guess. 🙁
Not sure where you get your enthusiasm for the orange traitor from, Duck, but if most Americans think liked you do, we will be in a heap of trouble.
