Employees of JSC Ukrzaliznytsia restored the railway track to the frontline Krasnohorivka, Donetsk region.

The section of 16 kilometers of railway tracks was smashed by shells from Roy station to Krasnohorivka.

Two locomotives were the first to pass along the restored track, which will take freight cars that have been parked at Krasnohorivka station for seven years to the repair point.

The next step will be the restoration of 800 meters of access roads to the Krasnohorivka Refractory Plant to provide the company with raw materials and export of finished products.

The resumption of passenger service with Krasnohorivka is not planned yet due to its proximity to the line of contact.

The Mariinsky Military-Civil Administration, where Krasnohorivka is subordinated, hopes that the reconstruction of the railway will improve the economic situation in the community and increase the working population.

In total, UAH 7 million was spent on repair works.
