President Volodymyr Zelensky announced that several more fourth-generation F-16 fighters have arrived in Ukraine .

“Additional F-16s have arrived in Ukraine. This is good news,” he said during a video conference with journalists, a UNIAN correspondent reports.

At the same time, the president did not disclose the exact number of fighters that were used to strengthen the capabilities of the Ukrainian Air Force. Zelensky also did not specify which country they came from.

The head of state also commented on the Russian Federation’s statement about the allegedly shot down F-16 in Sumy region:

“The Russians lied that they shot down an F-16. A lie! No one shot down an F-16! But several F-16s flew to Ukraine.”
