Yehor Cherniev, head of Ukraine’s delegation to NATO, announced that Ukraine is finalizing the development and preparing to deploy the new Hrim-2 ballistic missile, capable of reaching targets up to 192 km away, as reported by The Telegraph.
“Trust me, there will soon be concrete results visible not only to Ukraine but also to the russian federation,” Cherniev emphasized.
The Hrim-2, a single-stage, solid-fuel missile with a 500 kg warhead, was developed by the Pivdenne Design Bureau in Dnipro. This missile, a significant upgrade from the Tochka, has been in development for a decade, with progress accelerating after russia’s full-scale invasion.
In August, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy confirmed that, despite russian strikes on production facilities, the first Hrim-2 missiles had been successfully tested. With the Hrim-2, Ukraine gains the ability to strike critical targets in russia without requiring Western permission, expanding the range of strategic strikes available to the Ukrainian Defense Forces. Potential targets include russian airfields, military-industrial sites, and infrastructure facilities.

No one ever claimed that deep strikes into mafia land will turn the tide of war, so I don’t know why this must always be mentioned. Deep strikes are just another ingredient to waging war, and if done smartly and in sufficient numbers, such strikes can have an important impact and bring victory closer. No one would refrain from performing such attacks if they had the capability. No one!
