For four days, we travelled inside one of Ukraine’s last major frontline cities in the Donbas. Kramatorsk is preparing for what could be one of the war’s most brutal battles. Russian troops are closing in, drones fill the skies, and robotic ground vehicles are becoming an increasingly familiar sight on the streets.
We met the soldiers trying to hold back Russia’s advance and spoke to families who’ve lost almost everything—but still refuse to abandon their homes.
