Ukraine offers partners the opportunity to test new weapons on the battlefield – Ministry of Defense

Ukraine has offered international partners a unique opportunity to test their defense technologies in real combat conditions. In addition, the state seeks to build long-term cooperation in the military-industrial complex.

This was stated by Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine Valery Churkin during the Estonian-Ukrainian Defense Industrial Forum in Kyiv. The event was attended by Estonian Defense Minister Hanno Pevkur, as well as representatives of the defense industry of both countries and government officials, in particular, Minister for Strategic Industries of Ukraine Herman Smetanin, Director of the Defense Procurement Agency Arsen Zhumadilov.

“Estonia is a true friend of our country, and we must increase industrial cooperation. Among the opportunities that Ukraine offers to international partners are testing products in real combat conditions and developing long-term partnerships within joint ventures,” Churkin said.

The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine offered partners the opportunity to test products on the battlefield and establish a long-term partnership.

Ukraine is counting on support in two key areas: the development of anti-drone systems and the modernization of existing weapons. Churkin thanked Estonia for its consistent and systematic assistance in the war against Russia.

Estonian Defense Minister Hanno Pevkur noted that the joint forum could become a platform for the development of defense technologies and the exchange of experience. He also stated Estonia’s readiness to share its achievements in the field of digitalization and IT.

“Estonia is ready to share its own experience in the field of IT and digital transformation,” Pevkur emphasized.

As OBOZ.UA reported, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced an increase in the production of the entire line of drones – from Mavic to long-range drones. In addition, Ukraine has increased its capabilities for the production of ground robotic complexes.

  1. It would be only logical for Ukraine’s allies to let the country test new weapons, munitions, and other devices and systems, since they are fighting the most intense war since WWII, and a totally new one with air, land, and sea drones being the new “king of the battlefield”. But, many times, Ukraine’s partners don’t think logically.
