Ukraine has no intention to limit its defense capabilities in any way, as demanded by the aggressor country of russia to supposedly end the war.
This was stated by the spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Hryhorii Tykhyi, in a podcast on the YouTube channel of blogger Oleksandr Notevskyi.
“Ukraine will never go to any restrictions on its defense capabilities,” Tykhyi noted.
According to him, this applies to both the size of the armed forces and the defense support provided to Ukraine by foreign partners.
The MFA spokesman emphasized that no one can dictate to Ukraine the rules regarding defense capabilities limitations.
He added that Ukraine, on the contrary, intends to work on strengthening its defense-industrial complex.
Tykhyi said that Kyiv’s main priority in all negotiations is attracting foreign investment into its defense industry. Dialogue with partners is conducted on mutually beneficial terms.
“They get access to joint production and technologies. Ukraine already has technologies that no one else has,” Tykhyi noted.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on June 2 of this year, the second round of negotiations between Ukraine and the aggressor country of russia took place in Istanbul, Turkey.
We will remind, after the negotiations, the russians published the text of their “memorandum“, in which they listed a list of demands to Ukraine necessary for the alleged end of the war. Their fulfillment will mean the actual surrender of Kyiv.
Later, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine stated that all of russia’s demands to Ukraine regarding the resolution of the conflict are unsuitable for diplomacy.
