Lieutenant Vasyl Marzoev was eliminated in the Zaporizhia direction . He was the son of Russian General Arkady Marzoev, commander of the 18th Combined Arms Army, who was involved in the attacks on Kherson.
This is reported by Russian sources. Vasyl Marzoyev fought as part of Russian units in the Zaporizhia direction.
Lieutenant General Arkady Marzoev, who commands the 22nd Army Corps of the Russian Black Sea Fleet, participated in the preparation and conduct of a massive strike on Kherson, which resulted in the deaths of 24 civilians.
The Security Service of Ukraine has gathered evidence against three high-ranking Russian officers involved in the shelling of the city. These are two generals, Oleg Makarevich and Arkady Marzoev, as well as Lieutenant Colonel Dmytro Zharkih. All of them have been reported for suspicion under several articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine:
- Part 2 of Article 28 and Part 2 of Article 437 – planning, preparation, initiation and waging of an aggressive war by a group of persons;
- Part 2 of Article 28 and Part 2 of Article 438 – violation of the laws and customs of war by a group of persons.
Lieutenant Vasyl Marzoyev was directly linked to his father’s actions and the shelling of civilians. His elimination was part of Ukrainian measures to neutralize the Russian military leadership responsible for war crimes on Ukrainian territory.
