Praying that all goes well for his son’s heart surgery.🙏
Our little man will have his second open heart surgery next week. The outcome of such things is never certain, but you know me…I’m always rooting for the underdog. It doesn’t matter how “good” the odds are though. As a parent it always feels like 50-50. I would be lying if I didn’t say our hearts were heavy.
I look forward to him pulling through. As you can see, he’s already making his best effort to read up on all the latest like daddy.
Side note – Going through this makes me especially angry at Russia for intentionally targeting maternity hospitals. I truly cannot think of a more vulnerable position to be in, to also have to worry about a Russian missile slamming into a building designed for moms and little ones to heal. There is no justification for fighting war in such a way. Ever.

Russian propaganda keeps harking on about the great russian winter. Let’s see how they cope with a Ukrainian winter and no logistics. Believe me, a Ukrainian winter is no fun, especially if you have no food to keep you warm.
