Kharkiv Armored Plant, which is part of Ukroboronprom, is testing the latest modernization of the main tank of the Armed Forces of Ukraine – T-64BV model 2022.
This combat vehicle is designed to strengthen mechanized units in all types of all-out combat, break through fortified positions, destroy firing points, equipment and manpower of the enemy, rapid organization of defensive lines.
During the overhaul and modernization commissioned by the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, the company’s specialists equipped the tank with new third-generation surveillance and aiming devices, anti-accumulation stern grille screens and rubber shields on the tower. In addition, the fuel system of the combat vehicle was improved and additional armored protection of fuel tanks was installed.
“T-64BV model 2022 received new modern radio stations to replace the old Soviet ones. From now on, this combat vehicle has, in particular, navigation, internal and external communication systems that fully meet NATO standards, “said Herman Smetanin, director of the Kharkiv Armored Plant.
