Ukraine Seeks Agreement to Protect Critical Infrastructure

Ukraine is ready to stop attacks on Russia’s critical infrastructure: Zelenskyy named the condition.

Ukraine is not sure that Russia intends to comply with any agreements, the president says.

Ukraine has proposed to its partners to secure an agreement with Russia that will stop the destruction of critical infrastructure. This was stated by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

“Food, energy, and other vital resources must be protected, and Russian strikes are primarily aimed at these. Ukrainian energy facilities, port infrastructure, logistics, and even food and pharmaceutical warehouses are being targeted daily,” he noted.

At the same time, the head of state noted, Ukraine is not sure that Russia wants to comply with any agreements.

“If our partners are prepared to ensure Russia’s genuine desire not to strike our power grid, our other energy facilities, critical infrastructure, or food transportation, then we are, of course, prepared to ensure a corresponding refrain from our strikes,” the president emphasized.
