Along with the restoration of the housing stock, new temporary apartment buildings are also planned to be built in Ukraine for the displaced persons, and after their return to their homes, these apartments will be handed over to the military, medics and police officers.
This was announced by the Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Kyrylo Tymoshenko in Telegram following a meeting with the Ambassador of Finland to Ukraine Päivy Laine. Transmitted by the National Industrial Portal with reference to Facts .
He also announced the completion of the preparation of the plan for the construction of housing for displaced persons.
“It was developed jointly with several well-known architectural bureaus, and relevant documentation has already been prepared,” Tymoshenko added.
According to the plan, construction of five-story residential buildings is expected within 5-6 months in 16 regions of Ukraine — 2,000 apartments in each region. Their cost with all furniture and equipment will be about $700-800 per square meter.
And the modular towns, which are also open to internally displaced persons, will have all the necessary equipment to function even in winter.
