Stupak claims that the Ryazan oil refinery supplies Moscow and the Moscow region with gasoline and diesel fuel.

Military expert Ivan Stupak said that nothing stops Ukraine from destroying the Russian oil refining industry . He recalled that just a few weeks ago, American officials very persistently asked Ukraine not to attack Russian refineries at all.

“After a short thought, the Ukrainian side replied that there is no help from the US and we will do everything to stop the Russian Federation. At the moment, the aid has been voted, and the strikes continue. As of Monday, April 29, the US removed from the agenda the demand to ban strikes on Russian Refinery. That is, nothing is stopping Ukraine from destroying the Russian oil refining industry,” the analyst said on the air of the Espresso TV channel.

He claims that the Ryazan oil refinery supplies Moscow and the Moscow region with gasoline and diesel fuel.

“Regarding today’s strikes, the Ryazan Refinery is 5% of the Russian oil refining industry, which provides gasoline and diesel fuel to Moscow and the Moscow region. Currently, 20% of the oil refining industry is out of action or destroyed or damaged. That is, it is either completely inactive or operating in emergency mode,” Stupak added. 

Strikes on Russian refineries – details

On the night of May 1, kamikaze drones attacked the Ryazan Oil Refinery, which is located in the immediate suburbs and belongs to Rosneft. Its declared volume of oil product processing is within 16-18 million tons per year, which makes this refinery one of the largest in the Russian Federation in terms of production volume.
