Ukraine is MAGA—and MAGA doesn’t know it yet.

For three years, I’ve reported daily from Ukraine on Chicago’s WGN Radio, sharing truths the global media won’t touch. But there’s one thing I haven’t made clear—and it’s something Russia doesn’t want you to know.

Let me show you why Ukraine is good for MAGA.

1️⃣ What the West Has Lost Thrives in Ukraine:
Clean, low-crime cities
Healthy, natural food
Strong, rooted culture
Tolerance born from true free speech
A human-scaled way of life
And the realization that freedom must be well-armed

Ukraine isn’t just fighting a resistance—it’s preserving the values many Americans dream of restoring.

2️⃣ Two Major Threats to Ukraine’s Freedom:

—Russian ballistic missiles and bullets
—Western corporate and political elites who offer a slow-drip of weapons while seeking to plunder and control Ukrainians

3️⃣ A Culture MAGA would dream of:

In January, Western Ukrainians, instead of saying “hello,” greet each other in shops and cafés with “Christ is born” and “Glory to Him.”

These traditions, outlawed in places already Russian occupation, thrive in free Ukraine.

4️⃣ Pentagon Waste vs. Ukrainian Ingenuity:

$5K Ukrainian drones outperform $100K U.S. models
$50K battle robots beat $450K American alternatives

While U.S. contractors show up with overpriced, ineffective tech, Ukrainians innovate on the fly—and the US is still not learning. Time for DOGE to pay attention?

5️⃣ Making America Healthy Again:

Ukrainian food is natural, local, affordable, and wholesome. My seasonal allergies vanished here. Ukraine holds some keys to making America healthy again.

6️⃣ Making American cities prosper again:

Did you know that when Russians aren’t attacking, cities like Kharkiv and Kyiv are cleaner, safer, and more pleasant than Chicago, LA, or Austin?

7️⃣ Ukraine Beat COVID Tyranny.

During COVID, Ukrainians—wisened by Soviet oppression—quietly ignored mandates. Officially, Ukraine has one of the lowest vaccination rates in the developed world. Unofficially? Many Ukrainians registered as vaccinated but weren’t.

8️⃣ Ukraine Shows the Hypocrisy of the Global Elite.

Many Western leaders claim to “support” Ukraine—just like they claim to be solving the border crisis back home. Yet as always they prolong problems for their own gain. They have no incentive for Ukraine to win–and it shows. Oppose forever wars: Arm Ukraine!

9️⃣ Ukrainians are winners.

Despite facing more than 10,000 drones, 3,000 missiles, and countless attacks from Russia and its allies, Ukraine still stands. Imagine an alliance of the world’s largest military, the USA’s, with the most battle-hardened, Ukraine’s.

Sometimes it seems to me that Ukraine is “inconvenient” for both Russia and the West. Putin hates Ukrainians because of their freethinking and because Ukrainians do not recognize his Putin’s Divinity.

For the West, Ukraine is inconvenient because it doesn’t let German chancellors (Schröder and Merkel) and Austrian ministers freely dancing and cooperating with Putin and turning a blind eye to Moscow’s crimes.

For American elites, Ukraine is “inconvenient” for about the same reason. Instead of doing business, American elites must now reluctantly recall the ideals of the Founding Fathers of the United States and the provisions of the Declaration of Independence, and to reluctantly support Ukraine in its fight against Moscow imperialism.

In general, Ukraine has more interests with nations of the Middle East and the Global South, it sometimes seems to me.
