It’s difficult to disgree with Kinzinger on this war. Mafia land are not winning. Unless you count the destruction of an 80 year stockpile of weapons, a destroyed economy, a destroyed oil infrastructure and 10% less territory than 3 years ago as winning.
The analogy with our mission in Iraq is a good one and should open some eyes on this topic. If we had achieved what mafia land had achieved with the same amount of casualties and loss in equipment, there would’ve been riots across our country in protest to stop the useless slaughter. It would’ve been an utter disaster for us and totally unacceptable to fight this way.
