After the trip of President Volodymyr Zelensky, the Congress began to actively make decisions in favor of our country.

Ukraine is working with the United States of America to provide additional Patriot air defense systems . In Congress, after the visit of President Volodymyr Zelensky, the decision-making process in favor of our state has intensified.
Ambassador of Ukraine to the United States Oksana Markarova spoke about this on the air of the national telethon. The diplomat answered a question regarding the sending of additional Patriot systems: “We can not only expect, but we are working on it. I can quote President Zelensky at his press conference with Biden; “I can say thank you for the Patriot systems and the next message is that we need more Patriot. “I hope we can contract some systems for the future.”
According to Markarova, there are already certain results of Zelensky’s trip to the United States. Congress began to make decisions in favor of our state much more actively.
“We already have concrete serious results in a day, while we were returning to Ukraine – both a bill on the possibility of bringing Russian criminals to justice in the United States, and assistance to Ukraine for $45 billion, and an amendment to empower the US Attorney to use confiscated Russian assets as assistance to Ukraine, and work on a security package that includes Patriot, but there are not only them, there are many new opportunities,” Markarova added.

As part of President Zelensky’s visit to Washington , the United States announced a new $1.85 billion military aid package for Ukraine. It includes a battery of Patriot air defense systems.
As stated in the Pentagon, the training of fighters of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the use of the mentioned air defense systems should begin “very soon” and will last for several months . Approximately the same terms were announced in the Air Force .
The commander of the Armed Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has already formed lists of people who will train to use Patriot air defense systems.
Against the backdrop of the US decision, the German opposition began to demand that the government take a similar step and transfer Patriot air defense systems to Ukraine.
Jordan Cohen, an analyst at the Cato Research Institute , believes that, given the training and delivery of systems, the Armed Forces of Ukraine will not be able to use them until the end of spring 2023.
