Information has emerged about the first destruction of a tank in the Kursk region.

Ukraine received 31 Abrams tanks from the US , but has already lost about 20 of them at the front, Military Watch Magazine writes .
According to the publication, during the Ukrainian Armed Forces offensive in the Kursk region, an M1A1 Abrams tank was destroyed. It is noted that Abrams tanks are mainly deployed in the Avdiivka area, and this is the first case of destruction in the Kursk region. Also, according to MWM, the tank was destroyed using a hand-held anti-tank missile system, most likely “Kornet”, which distinguishes this case from other cases when tanks were destroyed using drones.
“The latest loss brings the total number of M1A1 Abrams tanks lost in Ukraine to 20 out of 31 delivered vehicles, all of which occurred within the last six months,” the publication writes.Video of the day
At the same time, MWM points out that while the destroyed Leopard tanks can be compensated by deliveries from various European countries, primarily from Spain, the US will most likely not make further deliveries of Abrams tanks.
It was previously assumed that the US would seek to avoid commitments to supply Abrams tanks to Ukraine and would take measures to prevent their deployment to the front, in particular to avoid tarnishing the vehicle’s reputation with significant combat losses.
The publication also recalls that Ukrainian servicemen had previously expressed dissatisfaction with the operation of the Abrams, citing technical problems, including the vulnerability of electronic components to condensation and their vulnerability to Russian fire.

To make it short, I do not trust Military Watch Magazine. I’m not sure why Unian does so enough to publish what they blather.
Isn’t it clear Ukraine needs the M1A2? Last I heard, Oregon, Texas and Illinois were doing just fine….
The piss poor strategy by Biden is just baffling. It makes absolutely no military sense.
I’m beginning to wonder if tanks are much use in the war, drones and artillery seem to be taking these things out quickly on both sides.
